History

Adrian Taylor, the MD of TMM originally spent 18 years with Dart Development Ltd, manufacturers of tray denesting & vacuum feeding systems, as Operations Manager where he was responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of equipment. In November 1999 Adrian Taylor formed TMM as a separate company and when Dart Development Ltd ceased manufacturing machines, they exclusively authorised all support and maintenance of existing Dart installations to be carried out by TMM. Tray Denesting

We manufacture special purpose machines for any application that requires denesting of stackable products from a magazine. Our machines can handle PVC, PP, EPS, CPET, moulded pulp, aluminium foil & paper board, denesting infeeds at speeds in excess of 100 items per minute.

Counting & Batching

Special purpose machines to count & batch items such as greeting cards, credit cards, sachets & medical dressings, with additional features such as missed detection systems, multiple magazines and no tool adjustments.

Feeding & Collating

Special purpose machines for feeding & collating multiple items such as leaflets and labels, anything stackable, into flow wrappers or cartoning systems at high speeds.

Product Handling

Provided your product is stackable in a magazine or hopper we can manufacture a special purpose machine to pick it and place it onto a packaging or assembly line.

PRODUCTS

Tray Denesting
We manufacture machines to denest items from magazines onto packaging lines at speeds of over 100 units per minute. The units are designed, where possible, to handle existing trays & cartons without having to introduce denesting features on existing items. The magazines on our machines are designed for the quickest change over time possible, usually 2 minutes, allowing for easy use of varied magazine and carton loads.
Counting & Batching
We manufacture machines to count and batch products such as credit cards and medical dressings at high speed. Our machines are available with a range of options such as photoelectric cycle control, missed detection systems, auto recycle if missed, no product no placement, and batch counting.

Feeding & Collating
We manufacture machines for high speed feeding and collating of stackable items such as leaflets, coupons, sachets and labels etc. Our machines are designed with quick adjust magazines, standard magazine lengths of 400, 760 or 1220mm and no tool adjustment features.
Product Handling
Providing your product is stackable in a magazine or hopper, we can pick it and place it onto a packaging or assembly line.
Service, Support & Training
Taylor Made understand your need for reliable support, especially on initial line start up. We offer a complete service including on site training, provision of machine user manuals, and maintenance, as well as assisting our customers with all their other packaging issues.
Bespoke Special Purpose Machine Manufacturing
Taylor Made Machinery build bespoke special purpose machines designed to meet the requirements of customer lines and specifications. We are not an agency house and all our machines are designed and built in the UK. We design with the user in mind and all of our machines are equipped with operator control panels.

EXPERIENCE

Easter Egg Tray Denester
Tray denester for production line in large confectionery operation. Operating at 120 trays per minute with 8 different tray designs, reliance was an important factor along with the need for a quick change over time. The unit was built to incorporate customer specifications.
Pork Sausage Tray Denester
This machine was supplied to a major OEM for a turnkey operation in which the Taylor Made tray denester played an important part. The machine is fitted with six 1220mm magazines loaded with trays whose flanges overlapped making denesting a complex procedure.
Muffin Packaging Line
This automatic muffin packaging line incorporating rotary tray denester with automatic muffin pick & place system was designed to denest 80 trays per minute. Reliability and accurate tray placement had a high priority. The muffin trays were loaded 2 or 3 across with magazine capacity for 6 or 12 cavity trays. This system was one of two lines supplied to a leading bakery.
Laser Printing
This line was manufactured to print onto plastic trays for a leading tray manufacturer. Operating at 120 trays a minute using an intermittent servo driven motion conveyor the trays were denested from a magazine, and passed beneath dual laser printers. The trays were then restacked into horizontal magazines.
Organic Label Feeding
A number of machines supplied to date for a leading bakery for vertical placement of organic labels into baking tins.
Intelligent Product Feeding
A number of machines built to date for counting & placing foil ribbons onto an indexing conveyor prior to banding. These lines incorporated intelligent communication software to ensure correct pack quantities.
